We decided to change our trading name in February 2003 to The lettings Centre Ltd, to resolve any confusion over our relationship to the estate agency side of Buckey & Ward. We remained in our West Street offices until the end of April 2005 when we moved to more spacious accommodation in Brenchley House in the centre of the High Street Sittingbourne. The company is owned by Barry Pike who has been working in estate agency and lettings since1986, working for both corporate and independent agencies. Barry is assisted by Maureen Whitehead who has worked locally in lettings since the early 1980's and was previously area manager with Countrywide. We have 2 part time members of staff, Natalie Melloy who works Thursdays and Saturdays and our bookkeeper Sue Pike who works on Saturdays. We are absolutely committed to raising the level of professionalism within the lettings industry. We are members of The National Association of Estate Agents and also the Ombudsmen for Estate Agency Scheme. We have full professional indemnity insurance and clients money protection insurance. We pride ourselves on keeping upon to date with changes in legislation which affect our industry as these can have profound financial consequences for our clients if the correct procedures are not followed. We are compliant with the new deposit regulations introduced by the Housing Act 2004.
